Crown Lake is a 645-acre reservoir in Izard County seamed into the foothills of the Ozarks near Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. The sandy white-colored beach at Crown Lake is breathtakingly beautiful, and it's so stunning you'll get lost in the magnificence of it while lounging around there.

Fishing is a pleasurable experience, especially when you can snag various types of fish at Crown Lake such as smallmouth & largemouth bass, red ear sunfish, crappie, drum, carp, bullheads, channel catfish, bluegill, and redbreast sunfish.

Diamond Lake is another nice place to sink fishing lures into. Diamond Lake is also located in Izard County, Arkansas at Horseshoe Bend.

The types of fish mostly caught at this location are smallmouth & largemouth bass, striper, walleye, bullheads, and crappie. Crappie tends to hit well during dawn and dusk hours, and if you can discover a spot where they are located you'll be able to catch one crappie after another. They tend to enjoy live minnows, earthworms, nightcrawlers, and you'll not go wrong with using a chartreuse-colored jig, normally best used with a long fishing rod.

Strawberry River is located in Fulton County, in Arkansas, and is the home to the Strawberry River Orange Throat Darter, and is the only area where this species can be found. Also, the Strawberry River contains a variety of different types of fish. Among them are smallmouth bass, shadow bass, longear sunfish, bluegill, perch, flathead, bullhead catfish, and channel catfish.

Arkansas is known to have four types of bream most often met face to face by fishermen. These bream are commonly known as the bluegill, green sunfish, red-ear sunfish, and long-ear sunfish. A lot of Arkansans refer to these fish and crappie as being "panfish" and simply darn good eating.

If you happen to tire from a grand day of fishing in Horseshoe Bend, you could always saddle up and play a fun game of pitching horseshoes on the sandy beaches of whichever lake you are staying at, then check out a peaceful lakeside retreat at Crown Point Resort.
